Some of my favorites from the weekend

The road back to Tucson seemed to be twice as long as the drive to Utah. Perhaps it was tired kids or the hot weather, or it could be that ending the vacation isn't nearly as fun as starting it. We had a wonderful time, never a dull moment at my mom's home. So many stories and adventures, here are some of my favorite pictures of the weekend.

Golf: Chad had ONE fabulous day of 36 holes of golf. The morning round with good friend Ryan, George and Jeff and then the afternoon with golf pro Rick Rockwood. He practiced the day before with the little boys at the Homestead. It was fun and a little sad to be back at the Homestead Golf Club (the place where we first met each other). We loved visiting with Chele and Rick and Briscoe. It's funny they haven't seemed to change, but we sure have! With three kids in tow everyone couldn't believe it was us. That's what happens twelve years later.

Mini Motorcycle boy: that would be Jake ripping it up on Grandma's driveway. He loved the mini bike. Just look at the grin. The three amigos Jake, Ryan and Brodie had a great time together. Brodie is always the third wheel, but someday the other two may decide he isn't that bad after all.

4th of July: we had our camp out at Grandma's, well at least Uncle Dan and the kids camped out, Robyn and Quealy slept upstairs and Chad and Charley and I had the downstairs bedroom. None of us went to bed until after midnight, the propane camp fire was the perfect marshmellow cooker with no smoke or smell. So once the kids finally settled down in their tents they didn't move. Dan did tell us that he woke up in the middle of the night worried that he heard thunder in the distance. He said he wasn't sure how he was going to get four kids inside by himself. Thankfully no rain. We had our pancake breakfast and watched the Midway fireworks from a far that evening. Even Redgie stayed around long enough for me to get a picture of him for the blog.
